Coli Cast presenters Sean Connolly and Julie Hesmondhalgh are joined by Antony Cotton
The new podcast is set to take viewers on a journey as the Fairbottom Street Theatre is refurbished

The Friends of Oldham Coliseum have announced Coli Cast, a new podcast designed to take the people of Oldham on a journey as the Coliseum Theatre on Fairbottom Street is refurbished.

The fifteen minute podcast, presented by Julie Hesmondhalgh and Sean Connolly, filmed by James Lister and Zoe Hodges, will be split into three sections with every episode starting with an update on the building work. This will be followed by a section on what projects the Oldham Coliseum Theatre company are creating and will conclude with an interview with a familiar face from the Coli’s past.

The first episode will be released on Wednesday 10th September and will feature special guest Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton as he reflects on his own relationship with the beloved theatre with his former co-star.

Speaking about the new podcast Julie said: “We think this is a perfect platform to fulfil our promise to take the audience with us on the journey to reopening Fairbottom Street. This will be a great opportunity to share progress as Tilbury Douglas rebuild the theatre, but also to keep everyone in the loop regarding exciting projects out and about in the lead up to the grand opening. And as a wonderful bonus, we’ll be chatting to people who have worked at the Coli in various capacities in the past, to help us look back and reflect on the 140 year old history of that beautiful space.”
